About This Role The Registered Nurse in Maternal Child Services at Hackensack Meridian Health provides individualized patient care in a collaborative environment. This role supports labor and delivery, postpartum, antepartum, and well-baby nursery settings. Highlights Location: Neptune, NJ Facility: Jersey Shore University Medical Center Schedule: Full-time, Day shift What You'll Do Deliver nursing care according to evidence-based practices and standards of care. Communicate ongoing patient status and treatment plans with the healthcare team. Administer medications using bar-scanning and documentation technologies. Document patient assessments, plans of care, interventions, and evaluations electronically. Provide patient- and family-centered education for health optimization. Participate in multi-disciplinary discharge planning for safe transitions. Care for Labor and Delivery patients. Provide Mother/Baby couplet care. Manage High Risk Antepartum care. Circulate in the Operating Room and provide Newborn Nursery care. Requirements Education Current and valid New Jersey Registered Nurse license required. BSN in progress and/or willingness to acquire within three (3) years of hire. Experience Minimum of 6 months of nursing experience or participation in the Hackensack Meridian Health Nurse Residency program. Maternal child services experience in a hospital setting preferred. Licenses & Certifications BLS/CPR certification by the American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire. ACLS preferred, must obtain within 6 months. NRP preferred, must obtain within 6 months. Inpatient Obstetrics and/or External Fetal Monitoring Certification is a plus.
