Qualifications and Experience:
- Active state certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain)
- Proven experience teaching or supporting students with diverse learning needs at the middle school level
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies to align with students’ individual profiles
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, families, and service providers
- Flexibility and resourcefulness when supporting various student caseloads
Responsibilities:
- Provide engaging, differentiated instruction to middle school students with learning differences
- Develop, implement, and track Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service staff to ensure student success in inclusive settings
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment where all students can thrive
- Maintain timely documentation of progress and communicate regularly with parents/guardians
- Participate in team meetings, ongoing professional development, and school activities
