Senior Engineering Manager (m/f/d)

We are seeking a  Senior Full Stack Engineering Manager with deep expertise in  backend systems (TypeScript, microservices, cloud)to lead multiple engineering teams building the  Affinidi Elements platform. While you will manage and support teams working across the full stack (backend, frontend, platform infrastructure), your technical depth and demonstrated experience in backend engineering will be crucial in guiding architecture, ensuring quality, and driving technical strategy.

This role blends  people leadership with  technical leadership : you will grow high-performing fullstack teams, define best practices across the stack, and remain hands-on in critical technical decisions to ensure our systems are secure, scalable, and performant.

• Proven track record of leading engineering organizations in global, high-growth environments while driving on-time delivery of high-quality systems at scale 


• Possess strong  leadership skills : coaching, mentoring, developing leaders, and fostering high-performing, inclusive teams 


• Are skilled at balancing  strategic vision with  practical execution , aligning engineering teams with business outcomes 


• Possess strong knowledge of  TypeScript/Node.js ;  Dart experience is preferred; familiarity with C#, Go, or similar is a plus 


• Have experience with  React/Next.js and/or Flutter , demonstrates solid understanding of modern web and/or mobile development practices 


• Demonstrate proven success in  designing, deploying, and scaling microservices in cloud environments, specifically, Amazon Web Services (AWS) 


• Advocate for  privacy, security, cryptography , and resilient system design; experience with  asynchronous cryptography and identity/authentication domains is a strong plus 


• Are skilled at balancing  technical leadership and  people leadership , growing teams while staying engaged in critical technical decisions 


• Excel at  cross-functional collaboration with product, design, and security stakeholders 


• Thrive in  fast-moving startup environments , building autonomous teams that experiment, learn, and deliver at speed 

• Experience working across functions, locations, and time zones 


• Backend expertise in RUST 


• Expertise in decentralized identity solutions 


• Experience building systems with advanced cryptography requirements
