Work Environment

This role is primarily performed onsite, with physical therapists visiting patients in their homes. This setting allows for personalized care and a unique opportunity to assess patients' home environments, which can play a significant role in their rehabilitation. Our work hours are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a balanced schedule for our therapists.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions and develop personalized treatment plans that align with their unique goals and rehabilitation needs.
• Implement evidence-based physical therapy interventions, utilizing a wide range of treatment techniques tailored to address each patient's specific conditions.
• Monitor progress and effectiveness of treatments, adjusting approaches as necessary to ensure the highest level of care.
• Educate patients and their families on exercises, therapies, and lifestyle changes that promote overall well-being and facilitate recovery.
• Document all treatments and interactions comprehensively through our EMR system, ensuring accurate records for ongoing patient management and facilitating communication with other healthcare providers.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, social workers, and physicians, to deliver integrated care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain a manageable patient load, dedicating the time and resources necessary to provide individualized attention to each patient.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Feel Life Body Therapy & Home Care, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, chronic pain, and conditions affecting mobility and functionality. Your approach will emphasize non-surgical treatment options, focusing on enhancing strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination to improve patients' day-to-day activities and overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT).
• Active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, with a clean record free of sanctions or board proceedings.
• Strong foundation in orthopedic outpatient care principles and practices.
• Exceptional skills in manual therapy techniques and the design of effective exercise programs.
• Proficient in EMR software, particularly WebPT, for precise and up-to-date documentation.
• An academic and practical understanding of current physical therapy techniques supported by research.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in home health physical therapy is highly preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with diverse patient populations, particularly those with chronic conditions.
• Familiarity with interdisciplinary team collaboration in a healthcare setting.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
