Work Environment

Typical work hours are Monday to Friday, with shifts available from either 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personalized care to patients by developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on their specific goals and needs.
• Maintain a manageable patient caseload to ensure thorough, engaged care and attention for each patient.
• Leverage your expertise in orthopedic outpatient care to address a range of physical rehabilitation needs, focusing on mobility and pain management.
• Utilize a variety of manual therapy techniques and cost-effective treatment modalities to enhance patients' functional abilities.
• Encourage a proactive, non-surgical approach to treatment, reducing the reliance on medications and promoting natural recovery.
• Design comprehensive care plans integrating various therapeutic techniques, including strength and conditioning programs tailored to individual patients.
• Provide evidence-based interventions that foster improvements in mobility, strength, and overall physical health.
• Motivate patients throughout their recovery journey, ensuring they remain engaged and proactive in their rehabilitation process.
• Work in collaboration with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care that addresses the multifaceted needs of patients.
• Continuously monitor patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on their evolving needs.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of treatment provided to ensure comprehensive patient care and facilitate communication among the care team.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse range of patients seeking rehabilitation services following injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions. The emphasis is on outpatient care, making your role crucial in assisting individuals regain mobility and functionality to return to their daily activities and enhance their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, with no history of sanctions or board proceedings.
• Exceptional proficiency in various manual therapy techniques that cater to the needs of a diverse patient population.
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing effective exercise regimens for rehabilitation.
• Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, to accurately document patient interactions and treatments.
• Strong knowledge of contemporary physical therapy practices, underpinned by current research and methodologies.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience within an outpatient setting is highly desirable, particularly in sports medicine or orthopedic physical therapy.
• A proven track record of successfully managing a varied caseload while maintaining high standards of patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, reflecting your skills, experience, and commitment to patient care.
