Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough patient evaluations, including reviewing medical histories, performing standardized assessments, and identifying individual rehabilitation goals.
• Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans based on patient's specific needs and progress, ensuring alignment with current evidence-based practices.

• Providing discharge planning and follow-up care instructions, equipping patients with the tools they need to maintain their recovery independently.
• Attending multidisciplinary meetings as required and actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives within the department.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will focus on a diverse patient population primarily dealing with orthopedic conditions post-surgery, injury rehabilitation, and chronic pain management. You will be tasked with tailoring rehabilitation strategies for each patient, ensuring a holistic approach that addresses both physical and emotional recovery. Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid physical therapy license for the state of Virginia.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of professional experience as a Physical Therapist is required, preference will be given to candidates who have:

Compensation and Benefits
