Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Facility in Ashburn, VA, which is equipped with modern therapeutic technologies, specialized exercise equipment, and a supportive atmosphere designed for positive healing experiences. The work schedule consists of Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, offering stability while ensuring ample opportunities for professional interactions and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, understanding their medical history and current physical conditions to craft individualized treatment plans.
• Implement diverse therapeutic modalities tailored to each patient's needs, including but not limited to therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and patient education regarding health and wellness.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and ensure that each patient feels valued and supported throughout their rehabilitation process.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care strategies and discharge planning, utilizing evidence-based practice for effective outcomes.
• Provide in-home therapy when necessary, adapting treatment protocols to facilitate healing within the patient's everyday environment.
• Educate patients and their caregivers on exercises and techniques that empower them to take charge of their recovery.
• Meet and exceed productivity goals while adhering to all clinical and administrative protocols.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In the role of Physical Therapist at Down East Care, you will engage with a varied patient demographic, including individuals with orthopedic, pediatric, neurological, and sports-related conditions. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited APTA or CAPTE program.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy is mandatory.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills, ensuring clarity in patient interactions.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage patient records effectively with essential computer and word processing abilities.

Preferred Experience

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) is highly preferred.
• State licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a relevant physical therapy setting.
• Current CPR certification is advantageous.
• A demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust with patients, ensuring their comfort and engagement throughout their treatment process.

Compensation and Benefits
