Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, assessing their physical capabilities and limitations to develop effective treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Utilize a diverse array of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and specialized equipment, to facilitate pain relief and enhance mobility.
• Track clinical progress diligently, documenting treatments and outcomes, and make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal patient recovery.
• Educate patients and their families on physical therapy processes and the proper use of assistive devices to empower them in their recovery journey.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care that supports overall patient well-being.
• Maintain professional development through participation in workshops and continuing education opportunities to stay current with industry best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will involve working with a diverse patient population, including children, adults, and seniors, each with unique physical therapy needs. You will be responsible for helping patients recovering from various conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic pain management, and neurological disorders. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding these individuals towards achieving their therapeutic goals and enhancing their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Current and valid State License to practice Physical Therapy in Virginia.

• Proficiency in using electronic medical records and knowledge of various physical therapy documentation systems.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
