At Andromeda, we're building the social intelligence layer for humanoid robots - technology that allows robots to understand people, build relationships and become a meaningful part of everyday life.

Our first robot, Abi, is already doing this in aged care and healthcare, where she brings conversation, companionship and engagement to people every day.

Now we're scaling from early deployments into a platform that can operate across thousands of real-world environments. We're looking for individuals who want to tackle hard problems across robotics and AI, and help define what it means for robots to live and interact alongside people. 

Role Overview

We’re seeking a versatile, highly organized, and culture-driven Technical Recruitment Contractor to join our team in San Francisco. Working directly alongside our Chief People Officer and Global Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will drive on-the-ground recruitment efforts in SF and support US people strategies.

This contractor role focuses primarily on execution across local recruitment, candidate experience, and employer branding in SF. You will balance hands-on talent acquisition and headhunting with supporting global recruitment administration and helping shape our local San Francisco presence. 

Key Responsibilities

Full Cycle Recruiting 

• ​Partner closely with the Global Talent Acquisition Specialist to drive full-cycle recruitment, focusing on high-impact software and hardware roles, with the range to pick up operations roles as well.

• Build and maintain strong pipelines through proactive sourcing and partner with hiring managers to reach into various talent pools. Deploy creative strategies to find talent that is difficult to reach.
• Deliver a standout candidate experience, including in Andromeda Robotics’ San Francisco office.
• Support global recruitment administration tasks, including screening applicants, scheduling interviews and continuous improvement of our Applicant Tracking System. 
• Support employer branding and talent marketing initiatives (e.g., updating careers pages, creating social media content and organizing local networking/hiring events) to attract top-tier talent in SF. 
• Manage onboarding experience for our SF team members to ensure every new starter has a seamless, welcoming, and high-impact first week.

Strategic Support & US Operations

• Work closely with the Chief People Officer and Global Talent Acquisition Specialist to align local SF hiring plans with broader global recruitment strategy.
• Manage local candidate scheduling, interview loops, and host candidate visits to the SF office to ensure a high-touch candidate experience.
• Track and maintain accurate candidate pipeline data in the ATS, delivering regular hiring updates and local market talent insights to leadership.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• You are a proactive, no-ego collaborator who takes initiative and is passionate about building highly engaged, high-performing teams.
• You thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy the intensity of early stage start-ups.
• You work effectively across different geographies, combined with excellent stakeholder engagement skills and a deep passion for building a positive employee experience.
• 2–5 years of full-cycle recruiting, with a track record of hiring technical roles within a start-up.
• You have a solid understanding of US/California labor laws.
• You are comfortable using HR data, working with spreadsheets, and pulling metrics to support strategic decision-making.
• You have familiarity with modern HRIS platforms (e.g. Rippling, Deel, and Applicant Tracking Systems (e.g., Workable).
• AI & Automation Fluency: Hands-on experience using modern AI tools or LLMs (e.g., for data analysis, code/formula generation, or text extraction) and modern AI-forward financial platforms to speed up workflows.

Salary 

The expected starting hourly rate range for this role is $40-65/hour USD. Weekly hours will be logged & paid fortnightly.
