Medical Assistant-Certified

Job Summary:

The Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) provides clinical support in a fast-paced family medicine outpatient setting. This role involves assisting clinicians with patient care, performing clinical procedures, and supporting the efficient operation of the clinic. The MA-C will work collaboratively within a team-based environment and may float between two clinic locations to meet staffing needs. Candidates must have at least six months of MA-C experience in family medicine, adult, or pediatric outpatient care and be local to the Seattle area. Responsibilities:

• Assist clinicians with patient examinations and procedures in family medicine.
• Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients, and collecting specimens.
• Support efficient patient flow and clinic operations through effective communication and teamwork.
• Float between Central Seattle and Downtown Seattle clinics as needed to cover staffing requirements.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure quality patient care in a team-based environment.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Current Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) credential (Medical Assistant-Registered, Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist, or Medical Assistant-Hemodialysis Technician not accepted).
• Minimum of six months experience as an MA-C in family medicine, adult, or pediatric outpatient settings.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinic environment.
• Residency within a 30-mile radius of the clinic locations in Seattle, WA.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience in obstetrics (OB) clinical settings.
• Prior experience working in a team-based clinical approach.

Special Considerations:

• This is a temporary to hire position; candidates must be willing to join permanently if offered.
• No weekend or on-call requirements.
• Floating between two clinic locations may be required depending on staffing.
• Local candidates only to ensure dependability and timely attendance.

Scheduling:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 5 days per week.
• Standard 8-hour shifts with no weekend work.
• Shift assignments may vary based on clinic needs and floating requirements.
