Position Overview:
The Human Resources Manager will lead all day-to-day HR operations and serve as a key partner to leadership in building and maintaining a high-performing workforce. This role requires strong recruiting expertise, knowledge of HR compliance, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and plays a critical role in supporting company culture, employee engagement, and organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead full-cycle recruiting and talent acquisition for all company locations
- Manage employee relations, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and terminations
- Support workforce planning, hiring, layoffs, and union-related matters
- Implement and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks
- Administer HRIS system (Insperity) and maintain accurate employee records
- Partner with CFO on benefits administration, renewals, and open enrollment
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Plan and coordinate company events and employee engagement initiatives
- Serve as a resource for managers and employees on HR-related matters
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of HR laws, compliance, and best practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- High level of professionalism and interpersonal skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with HRIS systems (Insperity preferred)
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience as an HR Generalist, HR Manager, or similar role
- Strong recruiting and talent acquisition experience required
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and perform general office tasks
- Occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds
- Ability to use standard office equipment and computers
Work Environment:
- Primarily office-based with occasional exposure to manufacturing and outdoor conditions
- Moderate noise level
