Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients, including physical assessments to identify mobility impairments and functional limitations.
• Developing individualized treatment plans based on clinical reasoning and patient-centered goals, ensuring alignment with physician prescriptions.
• Administering therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other interventions aimed at enhancing strength and mobility.
• Overseeing Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure the appropriate implementation of prescribed therapy regimens.
• Conducting home environment assessments to recommend modifications that promote patient independence in activities of daily living.
• Participating actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Maintaining precise clinical documentation, including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.
• Providing education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, methods, and the use of assistive devices.
• Advising on the fitting and adjustment of prosthetics and orthotics, making recommendations for necessary modifications.
• Staying informed of advancements in the field to implement best practices in patient care delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be to work with a diverse patient population, particularly individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, those suffering from chronic pain, and patients with musculoskeletal disorders. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Current CPR certification to ensure safety in emergency situations.

• Superb communication skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and team members.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
