Assistant Project Manager

Responsibilities Act as a representative and advocate of JPI’s Culture and Guiding Principles Ensure Project Documentation is accurate, up‑to‑date, and addressed in a timely manner Coordinate subcontractor submittals with the Field Engineer Qualify and create subcontractor change order requests for subcontractors assigned by the Project Manager Assist Project Managers in the flow of information to the field teams Quantify subcontractor bids, create subcontractor initiation packets, and compose scopes of work for contracts for trades assigned by the Project Manager Investigate and propose value engineering and/or innovative alternatives Ensure on‑site project personnel and subcontractors maintain as‑built drawings and proper project documentation Train and mentor the Field Engineer Be fully responsible for project close‑out, including all cost, punch list, warranty, certificates, and documentation Coordinate DM/PM meeting agendas and meeting minutes with the Project Manager Track statuses of RFIs and submittals Additional Duties Assist in local licensing and applicable permitting Assist in maintaining standardized forms and procedures for construction operation Perform other duties as assigned by the Regional Construction Manager Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related study, or a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Manager of multi‑family construction Preference for five years of experience in the construction industry and three years of multi‑family field experience Experience with work‑processing and spreadsheet packages, e.g., Excel, Microsoft Word, Bluebeam Prior experience with Web‑based Project Management software, such as Procore (preferred) Prior experience or willingness to learn scheduling software, such as P6 or Microsoft Project Proficient in reading construction plans and documents Benefits Competitive bonus program 4 weeks of PTO for all new associates (pro‑rated by hire date) 11 holidays and 8 early release days Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) with company match (up to 5% match) Health savings account Flexible spending accounts (dependent & medical reimbursement) Paid parental leave Paid volunteer time Tuition assistance Phone reimbursement Associate referral bonuses #J-18808-Ljbffr JPI Employment Services, LLC
