Director of Social Commerce, TikTok Shop
A fast-growing, digitally native consumer brand is seeking a Director of Social Commerce, TikTok Shop to own and scale its TikTok Shop business and support future social commerce initiatives.
This is a highly visible role for someone who deeply understands the TikTok Shop ecosystem and has hands-on experience building and scaling the channel. This person will own overall shop strategy, day-to-day performance, affiliate strategy, storefront operations, and TikTok Shop campaigns and media.
The ideal candidate combines strong commercial and analytical capabilities with a creative, entrepreneurial mindset. This is an opportunity to take ownership of an established channel, identify areas of underperformance, and develop the strategy to drive its next phase of growth.
What You'll Do
- Own and scale the TikTok Shop business strategy and commercial calendar
- Own the channel P&L and drive GMV, conversion, profitability, and sustainable growth against clear KPIs
- Analyze channel performance, identify areas of underperformance, and implement strategies to improve results
- Build, scale, and optimize the TikTok Shop affiliate program to generate a strong pipeline of always-on creator content
- Lead the affiliate strategy while managing a team member responsible for supporting execution
- Own storefront and catalog management, including listings, pricing, promotions, and inventory synchronization
- Support TikTok Shop media strategy, including GMV Max and Video/Live Shopping Ads
- Help shape livestream/LIVE commerce strategy and execution
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure TikTok Shop supports both commercial growth and broader brand-building objectives
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
- Hands-on experience running or materially contributing to a TikTok Shop business
- Strong TikTok Shop creator and affiliate program experience is essential
- Demonstrated experience operating and scaling a meaningful TikTok Shop channel
- Strong understanding of GMV, conversion, AOV, ROAS, affiliate ROI, and overall channel profitability
- Experience with TikTok Shop media, GMV Max, Spark Ads, and/or Video Shopping Ads strongly preferred
- Ability to analyze an existing business, quickly identify what is and isn't working, and develop an actionable growth strategy
- Strong balance of analytical and creative thinking
- Entrepreneurial, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership in a lean, fast-moving environment
- Experience within consumer brands or an agency supporting TikTok Shop businesses; specific category experience is not required
