Job Title Physician – Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, Neuroendocrine (Open Rank/Track Faculty) Position Overview Physician specializing in Neuroendocrine to serve as a member of the Division of Medical Oncology, within the Department of Internal Medicine. Directs and provides direct and indirect patient care services in both inpatient and outpatient settings; conducts ambulatory clinics; interviews, obtains and reviews medical history of patients; performs physical examinations; performs relevant oncology procedures; orders special procedures, diagnostic testing, and other ancillary services; responds to consultation requests; determines, prescribes and implements treatment plans and/or medications; documents all services and instructions provided in the medical record; educates patients and promotes wellness, prevention and early detection; directs and participates in quality assessment and improvement activities; serves as preceptor and provides bedside training of residents, fellows, medical students, undergraduate and graduate students, nursing staff, and other allied medical professionals; ensures continuing medical education requirements are met; participates in department, college, medical center and university committees and other service activities. Department/Division Overview Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute expanded in December 2014 to become the third largest cancer hospital in the United States. The university is currently seeking oncology physicians at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor rank for a variety of roles in the areas of basic and translational research, education, and inpatient and outpatient care. High priority searches focus on Neuroendocrine clinically and for research.
