The Mobile Health Clinic Master's Level Clinician

Duties:

• The position provides weekly individual therapy to adults and children.
• Must be able to treat individuals with mental health and co-occurring disorders.
• Position will provide brief therapeutic interventions to address both chronic health problems and mental health symptoms for consumers.
• Position will complete assessments, and make treatment recommendations based on presenting symptoms.
• Position will complete treatment plans, crisis plans, no harm contracts, releases of information and any other relevant documentation with consumers.
• Position will complete all documentation in the electronic medical record within 24 hours of initiation.

JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARY

Summary of role of team :

• The Mobile Clinic staff work with community partners to meet the mental health and co-occurring needs of the community.
• The Mobile Clinic strives to reach underserved and distressed communities to improve health outcomes.
• All team members work in collaboration to identify needs of the person served and coordinate to promote resiliency.
• The Mobile Clinic team consists of Master's Level Team Leader, Masters Level Clinician, Medical Assistant/RN and APNs.
• The team also includes McNabb staff who work in programs that serve Grainger, Cocke, Jefferson, Claiborne and Hancock County residents, but the programs are not housed in the mobile unit.

Summary of position :

• The Masters Level Clinician works with the Mobile Clinic team to ensure that all Mobile Clinic consumers are treated with respect and dignity, and that quality services are provided.
• The position is responsible for assessing individuals and coordinating services within and outside of the McNabb Center, as well as developing safety plans for those in crisis.
• The position works with the Mobile Clinic Team to ensure grant requirements are met to improve the health of the communities served.
• Position will schedule clients weekly for individual therapy and coordinate with any other providers involved with the consumer.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT

• This position spends their time working on the Mobile Clinic Unit.
• Time is devoted to being on the mobile unit to assess consumers, provide individual therapy, coordinate care for consumers with team members, triage crisis, and work with leadership team in problem resolution.
• Professional appearance and demeanor is expected at all times.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Works in a multi-disciplinary team approach to meet the needs of persons served.

• Represents the Center professionally in dress, presentation and demeanor.
• Participates in treatment team with mobile clinic team.
• Work with other professionals in the community, to promote continuity of care and further program development.
• Coordinates with community members to meet the needs of consumers.

2. Complete all documentation in compliance with CARF, insurance and funding standards.

• Work with leadership team to ensure grant requirements are met.
• Update required paperwork every 6 months, or sooner if appropriate, with consumers.
• Completes treatment plan within 30 days of initiating treatment.
• All documentation within 24 hours of initiation.

3. Monitoring of treatment effectiveness and compliance.

• Ensure that all policies are accurate, thoroughly documented and consistently applied.
• Make sound decisions when faced with multifaceted problems.
• Devote appropriate time and effort to the development of professional competence as evidenced by attending a minimum of 3 professional trainings annually.
• Achieve optimal level of desired program goals and outcomes as measured by program productivity standards.
• Meet productivity standards set by the program.

4. Demonstrates & maintains a positive work climate and contributes to the overall effort of the program.

• Clinician demonstrates a consideration and concern for fellow workers and their jobs.
• Clinician promotes harmonious relationships and attitudes by openly communicating any concerns, keeping a positive attitude, and helping others.
• Clinician accepts additional assignments and/or changes in assignments or work with a positive attitude.

5. Works in a multi-disciplinary team approach to meet the clinical needs of consumers.

• Attends administrative team meeting on a monthly basis without tardiness.
• Responds to all flags, emails, and voicemails within 1-2 business days.
• Attends supervision with program supervisor once monthly or as scheduled by immediate supervisor.

COMPENSATION:

• Starting salary for this position is approximately $55,685/yr based on relevant experience and education.

Schedule:

• Primary working hours are Monday through Friday, and hours in addition to 40 may be required depending on the need of the program at that time.
• Position schedules clients during hours of operation, beginning and ending while bus is parked at designated location.

Travel :

• This position may require travel to mobile unit in Grainger, Cocke, Jefferson, Claiborne and Hancock Counties.
• If mobile unit is unable to travel to scheduled location, position will revert to telehealth conducted from the Sevier or Cocke County Outpatient Clinics.

Equipment/Technical Competency :

• Position requires working knowledge of Excel, Word, Microsoft Office, RedCap and any other platforms required by funders.
• Position requires regular use of a computer, and appropriate phone etiquette.
• Position is required to respond to all voicemails, emails and messages within 24 hours.

Equipment/Technology:

• Position must be able to complete electronic documentation.
• Position is required to drive the mobile clinic unit, as team members rotate this responsibility.
• CDL is NOT required to drive the mobile clinic unit.

QUALIFICATIONS - Mobile Health Clinic Master's Level Clinician

Experience / Knowledge:

• One year of direct experience in a human services or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development, family dynamics, mental illness and psychological traits associated with the target population of each program.

Education / License :

• A Master's degree in human services or related field with course work or experience in the areas of cultural diversity, human development, etiology and treatment of mental illness, co-occurring disorders, physical and sexual abuse, suicide, and developmental disabilities.
• Professional license preferred.

Physical/Emotional/Social -Skills/Abilities:

• An essential job function is a reliable, predictable 40 hour per week job, on site and in the community, with regular attendance.
• Exposure to biological hazards.
• Hearing of normal and soft tones.
• Close eye work.
• Valid driver's license with F endorsement.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Pushing/pulling up to 150 lbs.
• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching.
• This position requires utilizing a personal dependable vehicle to conduct Center business.
• Maintaining a dependable vehicle and certified driver status is a condition of employment.
• This position requires certification in and adequate implementation of verbal and physical de-escalation techniques that include a wide range of bodily movements including but not limited to grasping, holding another person, going down on knees, running, and walking.
