Respiratory Care Practitioner / RRT
We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Care Practitioner / Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week travel assignment in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. This position involves providing respiratory assessment, treatment, education, and diagnostic services across the hospital, collaborating closely with providers and the multidisciplinary care team.
Schedule
- 13-week assignment beginning October 5, 2026
- 8 consecutive 10-hour shifts, Wednesday through Wednesday
- Overnight on-call coverage required during the 7-day work rotation
- Must be able to meet a 30-minute on-call response time
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited CoARC respiratory therapy program
- Current NBRC credential as an RRT or CRT
- Current Colorado Respiratory Care Practitioner license in good standing
- Current AHA BLS certification
- ACLS and PALS certifications required
- Minimum of 5 years of respiratory therapy experience in an emergency department or acute-care hospital setting, including both adult and pediatric patients
- Experience in intensive care and ventilator management
- Ability to function independently
- Experience with ABG draw and analysis
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT), including spirometry and/or box pulmonary function testing
- Experience with walk testing and methacholine challenge testing
- Experience with cardiac diagnostic testing, such as Holter monitors, stress testing, and stress echocardiograms
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory treatments and manage mechanical and noninvasive ventilation
- Troubleshoot respiratory equipment
- Conduct patient assessments
- Perform pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing
Shift Information
8 consecutive 10-hour shifts from Wednesday to Wednesday. The schedule consists of 40 hours per workweek, followed by the scheduled off rotation. Overnight call is required during the 7 days on.
