Traveler Respiratory Care Practitioner / RRT 13-Week Assignment | Pagosa Springs, Colorado Start Date: October 5, 2026 Schedule: Eight consecutive 10-hour shifts, Wednesday through Wednesday. The schedule is structured as 40 hours per PSMC workweek (Sunday Saturday), followed by the scheduled off rotation. Overnight call is required during the eight-day work rotation. Department: Cardiopulmonary Pagosa Springs Medical Center is seeking an experienced Respiratory Care Practitioner / Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week travel assignment. This position provides respiratory assessment, treatment, education, and diagnostic services across the hospital and works closely with providers and the multidisciplinary care team. The traveler must be comfortable functioning independently in an acute-care environment and caring for both adult and pediatric patients. Schedule 13-week assignment beginning October 5, 2026 7 days on / 7 days off Overnight on-call coverage during the 7 days on Must be able to meet a 30-minute on-call response time Additional schedule and call details will be discussed during the interview Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited CoARC respiratory therapy program Current NBRC credential as an RRT or CRT Current Colorado Respiratory Care Practitioner license in good standing Current AHA BLS ACLS and PALS required Minimum of 5 years of respiratory therapy experience in an ED/acute-care hospital setting, including adult and pediatric patients Intensive care and ventilator-management experience Ability to function independently ABG draw and analysis experience Preferred Experience Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) experience preferred, including spirometry and/or box pulmonary function testing Experience with walk testing and methacholine challenge testing preferred Cardiac diagnostic testing experience, including Holter monitors, stress testing, and stress echocardiograms, preferred Primary responsibilities include providing respiratory treatments, managing mechanical and noninvasive ventilation, troubleshooting respiratory equipment, conducting patient assessments, and performing pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing.
