Respiratory Care Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Care Practitioner for a 13-week travel assignment. This position provides respiratory assessment, treatment, education, and diagnostic services across the hospital. The practitioner will work closely with providers and the multidisciplinary care team. Candidates must be comfortable functioning independently in an acute-care environment. Care for both adult and pediatric patients is required. The schedule includes seven days on and seven days off. Overnight on-call coverage is required during the seven days on. Candidates must be able to meet a 30-minute on-call response time. Primary responsibilities include providing respiratory treatments, managing mechanical and noninvasive ventilation, and troubleshooting respiratory equipment. Conducting patient assessments and performing pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing are also essential duties. Intensive care and ventilator management experience are preferred. Experience with Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT), spirometry, and box pulmonary function testing is preferred. Additionally, experience with walk testing and methacholine challenge testing is preferred. Experience in cardiac diagnostic testing, including Holter monitors, stress testing, and stress echocardiograms, is preferred.
