State of Location: New York Position Summary As a Physical Therapy Resident at Ivy Rehab, you will be a full‑time employee while completing the Ivy Rehab and Hospital for Special Surgery Orthopedic Residency Program. You have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of orthopedic patients. Our treatment approach emphasizes personalized care that allows for flexibility in creating individualized plans of care. Job Description Physical Therapy Orthopedic Resident – Full‑time, 40 hours/week in the Outpatient Orthopedic setting, part of the Hospital for Special Surgery Physical Therapy Orthopedic Residency Program. Position Qualifications / Admissions Criteria Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program Active PT licensure in the current state of practice prior to residency start date Employed as a full‑time therapist for at least 3 months by Ivy Rehab Network prior to the program start date Required membership in an associated professional organization by the start of the residency Commitment to successfully completing all program requirements including independent study Commitment to taking the ABPTS Orthopedic Clinical Specialist exam at earliest eligibility Commitment to a minimum of two years of continued employment at Ivy Rehab post‑graduation from the program Program Requirements Completion of all required didactic modules (300+ hours) Completion of all assessments, logs and forms Completion of live patient examinations Satisfactory completion of all skills lists Passing of all required quizzes Satisfactory completion of required presentations Completion of case report abstract Completion of residency special project Completion of 150 mentor hours Complete a minimum of 1,500 patient care hours during the residency year Attendance and participation in all scheduled residency education events Satisfactory achievement of all resident core competencies Financial Obligations Program tuition: $5,500 Payment can be made in full or through 1‑ or 2‑year payment plan via paycheck deductions As a full‑time employee, salary and benefits are maintained for the duration of the program Two‑year employment commitment post‑graduation to satisfy the financial investment made by Ivy Rehab We are an equal opportunity employer, committed to diversity and inclusion in all aspects of the recruiting and employment process.
