What You Will Contribute:

The Assembler I is responsible for assembly and the testing of various products. Assembly work will be performed by reading detailed instructions to ensure goods are safely produced in an efficient manner.

Job Duties:

• Use basic Hand, battery, electric and pneumatic powered tools to complete assemblies.
• Tend machines, such as arbor presses or riveting machines, to perform force fitting or fastening operations on assembly line.
• Solder, glue, and center to specific tolerances then complete basic testing including using multimeter test equipment.
• Test samples of manufactured products to verify conformity to specifications.
• Capture test results on standardized programs and create test reports for finished goods.
• Use basic printing programs to complete customer orders when required for a specific job.
• Receive instructional work orders, assemble sub-assemblies, and finish product from parts as provided.
• Use Production system to record day-to-day customer order activity, view work instructions and report completed work.
• Record material non-conformance issues discovered in production process.
• Read manufacturing orders, follow production drawings, and sample assemblies.

Education and Experience:

• High School Degree/GED Preferred
• No experience necessary; prior assembly experience a plus

Qualifications:

• Ability to demonstrate mechanical capability preferred
• Ability to demonstrate a sense of technical aptitude preferred

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed in a Manufacturing environment
• Depending on the assigned department, must be able to demonstrate the ability to lift up to 60 pounds and complete an audiogram test
• Those working in the Aerospace department must be able to pass a Vision, Color Vision, and Depth perception test
• This position requires good manual dexterity, coordination and stamina.
• Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day.

Hourly rate= $18.00+ based on experience.
