Transform Lives Through Communication in the Majestic Shadow of Pikes Peak – Join Our Team as a Speech Language Pathologist
Imagine a career where your every effort gives voice to potential and nurtures growth. As a Speech Language Pathologist in the breathtaking landscape of Colorado Springs, you won't merely assess and treat speech and swallowing disorders; you'll have the profound opportunity to unlock possibilities, restore self-assurance, and strengthen connections amongst individuals, from the playful toddlers who are just beginning to articulate their thoughts, to the resilient seniors who are reclaiming their voices.
Here lies an exceptional opportunity to directly impact a diverse range of clients across all age groups. Engage in a setting that masterfully combines outpatient therapy while occasionally providing inpatient support. Whether your passion lies in guiding children through language milestones, aiding adults facing neurogenic challenges, or addressing cognitive rehabilitation in geriatrics, you'll find a rewarding and flexible career path.
Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients of all ages utilizing both standardized assessments and thorough observational methods.
Craft individualized treatment strategies that encompass both immediate objectives and the broader spectrum of communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
Deliver personalized, one-on-one speech therapy tailored to enhance aspects of communication, language fluency, vocal quality, and swallowing abilities.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care plans.
Provide educational resources for patients and their families to promote ongoing progression beyond therapeutic interactions.
Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
Maintain precise and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
Engage in ongoing professional development and collaboration with peers to remain abreast of advancements in the field.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a regionally accredited institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA certified.
Must possess state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
CCC-SLP certification from ASHA desired.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
Expertise in evidence-driven therapeutic approaches across all demographics, with a strong grasp of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing issues.
Outstanding interpersonal communication skills with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
The aptitude to tailor therapy techniques to accommodate diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Strong clinical insight and problem-solving capabilities.
Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation best practices.
Attractive compensation aligned with your experience.
Flexible scheduling options to ensure a balanced work-life experience with diversified caseloads.
Pathways to specialize in pediatric therapy, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatric care.
Generous paid time off (PTO) alongside holiday remuneration.
Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance packages.
Support for continuing education and professional growth.
A collaborative work environment focused on exemplary patient care and lifelong learning.
In this role, you'll do much more than provide therapy; you'll become part of a vibrant community dedicated to reclaiming voices, enhancing communication, and sparking joy through the simplest yet most profound acts of human connection: understanding and being understood.
Join a team of clinicians who share familial bonds and a unified belief in collaboration over competition. Each patient brings a rich narrative, and we are counting on your skills to help redefine their story.
