Position Description

\n

Reporting to the Financial Manager and above, the Junior Accountant is responsible for maintaining and recording all financial records of the organization in the general ledger and corresponding accounts. In addition, they will also assist with office administrative tasks as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Check, verify, and record RFBT’s financial transactions such as purchase invoices and expenses.
\n
• Allocate and post financial transaction details to subsidiary books and general ledger.
\n
• Reconcile and balance all accounts.
\n
• Draw up financial statements (e.g. trial balance, income statement, balance sheet).
\n
• Track and maintain inventory records.
\n
• Maintain internal control systems.
\n
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
\n
• Comply with relevant reporting requirements.
\n
• Maintain complete filing system to support financial records.
\n
• Provide administrative support to the leasing administrator.
\n
• Perform general office duties, including filing, data entry, for documents related to leasing/real-estate.
\n
• Communicate and coordinate with colleagues as necessary.
\n
• Ability to use QuickBooks desktop/online
\n
• Must be comfortable working in the store operations as a cashier/barista when needed.

Expectation of Successful Candidate

\n

\n
• Bachelor’s or Diploma in Accounting or related field is required
\n
• 1-2 years of experience in bookkeeping practices or related experience
\n
• 1-2 years of administrative experience
\n
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Cantonese and Mandarin (written and verbal) is an asset
\n
• Strong time management and organizational skills with an attention to detail
\n
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel or QuickBooks
\n
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications
\n
