Desktop Support Technician (Contract)

Role Description This is an on‑site Desktop Support Technician (Temporary) role based in Los Angeles, CA. The technician will provide hands‑on support for desktop computers, laptops, peripherals, and printers, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, responding to support tickets, assisting end users in person and by phone, and documenting all work performed. The role also involves troubleshooting network connectivity at the workstation level, coordinating with other IT teams when necessary, and ensuring adherence to company standards and security policies. The technician will maintain accurate records of assets, participate in hardware refresh or deployment projects, and help ensure minimal downtime in a fast‑paced environment. Qualifications Strong hands‑on experience with desktop computers and related hardware, including installation, configuration, and basic network connectivity. Proficiency in technical support and troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently. Experience with printer support and peripheral device setup, maintenance, and issue resolution. Demonstrated ability in computer repair, including component replacement, system imaging, and performance optimization. Familiarity with common operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS), productivity tools, and ticketing systems. Clear and professional communication skills, with a strong customer service orientation in high-pressure or fast‑paced environments. Ability to prioritize tasks, follow procedures, and maintain accurate documentation of incidents and asset information.
