We're Not Looking for a Salesperson.
We're Looking for a Closer.
Snelling Staffing Services is hiring a Business Development Manager in Mobile, Alabama — and we're not going to pretend this is an entry-level gig. We want someone who gets energized by a locked door, who doesn't flinch at a gatekeeper, and who knows the difference between a meeting and a deal.
We've been the name in Mobile staffing since 1951 — 75 years of proof that we deliver. That reputation opens doors. We need someone who can walk through them, sit across from the decision-maker, and ask for the business.
You'll inherit a book of existing accounts and open territory to build from scratch. Half running start, half blank canvas. What you do with it is on you.
THE HUNT
- Get in front of decision-makers — cold calls, warm leads, walk-ins, LinkedIn, doesn't matter how, just get there
- Build real relationships, then convert them into signed business
- Research your targets before you ever pick up the phone
- Build proposals and quotes that win — and know when to push for the close
- Break into markets we haven't touched yet, and grow the ones we have
- Represent Snelling at industry events like you own the room
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- 1+ years in sales, marketing, or a related field — recent, relevant, real results
- High school diploma required; a business/marketing degree is a plus, not a requirement
- A consultative approach — you listen first, then you sell
- The discipline to run multiple deals at once without losing your grip on any of them
- Sharp written and verbal communication, solid IT fluency
- A genuine hunger to win — this isn't a role for someone who's “fine” with sales
