Senior Scientist I - Pharmacology

Senior Scientist I position in the Translational Sciences group focused on leading preclinical PET imaging studies for neuroscience drug discovery programs. The role involves coordinating imaging studies, operating specialized imaging systems, and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to support therapeutic development in neurodegeneration, movement disorders, psychiatry, and migraine.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and conduct preclinical PET imaging studies in rodents and large animal models
- Operate Mediso LFER 150 and Nanoscan PET/CT imaging systems and perform data analysis
- Prepare radiopharmaceuticals and contrast agents; collect and process plasma samples for radiometabolite analysis
- Develop study protocols, manage equipment maintenance, and ensure data quality
- Communicate findings to stakeholders and contribute to publications and study reports
Requirements
- PhD in neuroscience, pharmacology, biomedical engineering, or related field with 0-2 years experience; or Master's degree with up to 8 years experience
- Demonstrated expertise in preclinical PET imaging
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed international journals
- Ability to deliver high-quality data within multidisciplinary team deadlines
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong oral and written communication abilities
- Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
