Manual Machinist

DESCRIPTION:

This position will be responsible for safely performing multiple machine tasks. Applicant must also be able to assess quality standards and ensure product meets exact specifications to minimize rejects and NCR’s.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 2 years machining experience

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

• Must be able to operate multiple machines including manual lathes, manual mills, horizontal boring mills and vertical turret lathes.
• Must understand materials, cutting tools, speeds and feeds, and machining techniques
• Responsible for personal safety and the safety of those around him/her
• Re-machine parts to repair them and still maintain critical dimensions.
• Requires long periods of standing, reaching and using hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls;
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
• Must be able to complete work with limited supervision.

HOURS:

Full Time Position :  Mon – Fri 8:00 – 4:30 with frequent overtime and weekends as needed to meet customer deliveries. Schedule changes may also be required.
