Manual Machinist II

Job TitleJob Duties:• Set-ups and operates manual mills and lathes on a limited variety of materials with limited assistance• Uses milling, drilling, grinding, and other machines• Lays out work and produces quality parts• Decipher sketches, blueprints, and engineering details with assistance• Carries a job through from raw materials to the finished products from drawings, sketches, samples or verbal instruction• Sharpens, reworks, resets and repairs cutting tools• Inspects and checks parts being produced• Maintains accurate production records and job history• Keeps a clean and orderly work area• Performs any other assigned duty as directed by management.Qualifications/Experience:• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) from an accredited institution required• 3+ years of experience in manual machining• Has a mid level knowledge of machine uses and manufacturing materialsPhysical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
