Search Solution Group is seeking a Contract Billing Specialist on behalf of our client, a vehicle relocation and logistics company.

The Contract Billing Specialist will support the organization's accounting operations by assisting with accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, payment processing, and account reconciliation activities. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions, maintaining strong relationships with clients and vendors, and providing exceptional internal and external customer service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform administrative support functions, including answering inbound accounting and office-related calls.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including receiving, processing, and reconciling vendor, client, bank, and third-party payment statements.
• Monitor and manage proof of delivery reports and do-not-pay reports.
• Utilize accounting software to enter, track, and process vendor and client invoices.
• Respond promptly and professionally to client and vendor inquiries.
• Process vendor and client payments accurately and efficiently.
• Set up vendors and clients for ACH payment processing.
• Communicate invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and account concerns to management in a timely manner.
• Monitor and maintain assigned accounts within accounting systems and company platforms.
• Support collection efforts and assist in reducing delinquent account balances.
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and process bank deposits.
• Assist with internal and external audits.
• Support claim offset processes and related accounting activities.
• Participate in peer training and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Create, update, and maintain process documentation and instructional guides.
• Provide ad hoc accounting and administrative support as needed.

Requirements Include

Education

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Experience

• 1-3 years of general accounting experience.
• 1-3 years of accounts receivable and/or accounts payable experience.
• Experience processing invoices, payments, and account reconciliations.
• Customer service and client relationship management experience required.
• Experience in transportation, logistics, or related industries is a plus.

• No certifications required.
• Accounting, bookkeeping, or finance-related certifications are a plus.

Knowledge

• Understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial recordkeeping practices.
• Familiarity with invoice processing, payment reconciliation, and account maintenance.
• Working knowledge of accounting software and financial systems.
• Understanding of audit support processes and documentation requirements.
• Knowledge of ACH payment processing preferred.
