Senior Accounting Manager

Responsibilities

Kforce's client, a growing and financially stable organization in Bergen County, seeks a Senior Accounting Manager who will be responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, financial reporting, the maintenance of strong internal controls and an executive presence.Summary:The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong analytical skills, and be comfortable providing financial insights to support business decision-making. The role partners closely with leadership and key stakeholders across the organization, while also mentoring and developing accounting team members. • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls
• Partner with business leaders to provide financial insights and support decision-making
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff
• Support audits, compliance initiatives, and process improvements

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA or equivalent professional certification strongly preferred
• Progressive accounting and finance experience within a complex corporate environment
• Experience supporting audits, managing regulatory requirements, and partnering with external advisors
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop, mentor, and manage accounting professionals
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, compliance, and accounting best practices
• Prior experience with NetSuite preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.


We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
