Inventory Associate II (S) Agency: Department of Health and Human Services, Division Blind Services, North Carolina. Position Number: 60043148 Grade: NC02 Description of Work The primary purpose of the Business Enterprises Program (BEP) is to provide employment opportunities for legally blind individuals through the management of food service and vending facilities on government and private properties. As the warehouse manager, the Inventory Associate II is responsible for receiving, distributing, storing, and managing BE food service and vending equipment. Responsibilities Receive, distribute, and store BE food service and vending equipment. Assign duties to warehouse assistants as needed. Tag all equipment with an asset tag and enter it into inventory. Distribute equipment per ongoing projects or operational needs. Identify surplus equipment and coordinate monthly disposal. Schedule delivery and setup of new equipment, including operator training. Arrange pickup of broken or obsolete equipment. Respond to requests from BE Consultants for equipment replacement. Maintain accurate records of all new equipment and supplies for performance evaluation and warranty follow‑up. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience: High School or GED diploma and three (3) years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Management Preferences (not required): Experience in a warehouse environment. Experience in the vending and/or food service industry. Experience working with or supporting individuals with visual impairments. Physical Requirements: Must be able to safely lift more than 50 lbs. Must be able to sit, squat, lift, bend, kneel, climb stairs, and lay down as needed for the job.
