Human Resource Manager

Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid/remote Human Resources Manager role based in Austin, Texas, reporting to the General Manager. As the sole HR function at INS, this role blends strategic HR leadership with direct, hands-on execution of day-to-day HR operations for a growing, geographically distributed U.S. workforce. Key Responsibilities Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Own the full recruitment lifecycle: partner with department managers on staffing needs, source, screen, interview, and extend offers Lead onboarding for all new hires, including Form I-9/E-Verify and orientation Monitor employee integration during the first 90 days. Employee Relations & Performance Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations, including conflict resolution and workplace investigations when needed Administer performance management, including reviews, goal-setting support, and improvement planning Compensation, Benefits & Compliance Manage compensation and benefits administration, including enrollment coordination and market salary benchmarking Ensure ongoing compliance with federal, state, and multi-state employment law for a remote workforce Support employment authorization and immigration-related processes in partnership with outside legal counsel HR Operations & Development Maintain the HRIS, ATS, employee files, and required HR documentation Coordinate training, professional development, and tracking of licenses and certifications Develop and administer employee engagement, recognition, and wellness initiatives Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and the Employee Handbook Qualifications 5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally supporting engineering, consulting, or technical organizations Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law, including multi-state compliance for remote employees Experience with full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations Experience with HRIS and ATS platforms Excellent communication, judgment, and conflict-resolution skills Ability to work independently in a remote/hybrid environment Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field; SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP/PHR/SPHR certification is a plus Annual base salary of $75,000–$100,000, commensurate with experience, plus performance-based bonus opportunities.
