Opportunity:

RN - MedSurg

Job Details:

• 13-week contract with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 12-hour day/night variable shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Work in a 40-bed Post Surgical Care Unit providing care for pre and post-surgical adult and geriatric patients
• Nurse to patient ratio: 1:4 or 1:5 on days/evenings and 1:5 to 1:7 on nights
• Fast-paced unit averaging 10-15 admissions per day with 90-95% occupancy during the week
• Average patient length of stay is 2-3 days
• Must have ability to multi-task and prioritize patient care needs based on acuity while working as part of a team
• Equipment used: Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps
• Epic charting experience required
• Minimum 2+ years of Med Surg experience required with recent hospital experience
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Required certifications: WI RN License and BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Contractors must reside outside a 50-mile radius of facility

This healthcare facility is a full-service hospital offering comprehensive inpatient care across a wide range of specialties. The Post Surgical Care Unit is a fast-paced 40-bed inpatient area that provides care along a continuum for pre and post-surgical adult and geriatric patients following recovery from the PACU. The facility maintains high occupancy rates and is supported by advanced technology and equipment to ensure quality patient outcomes.
