PSCU RN – 

Unit: Post Surgical Care Unit (PSCU)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Location: Wausau, WI
Radius Rule: Must live outside 50 miles of the facility

Schedule & Hours

• 36 Guaranteed Hours/Week
• 12-hour Day/Night Rotating Shifts
  • Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every Other Weekend
• Every Other Holiday

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN License
• BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Minimum 2+ years Med-Surg experience
• Recent acute care hospital experience
• Level II Trauma experience required
• Previous travel experience required
• EPIC experience required

Unit Details

• 40-bed Post Surgical Care Unit
• Adult & Geriatric post-surgical patients
• Fast-paced unit averaging 10–15 admissions daily
• Average patient stay: 2–3 days
• Occupancy: 90–95%

Patient Ratios

• Days/Evenings: 1:4–5
• Nights: 1:5–7

Equipment

• EPIC EMR
• Rover medication scanners
• Alaris pumps

Floating

• Required to float to all inpatient units based on hospital needs

Candidate Profile ✅ 2+ years Med-Surg experience ✅ Level II Trauma experience ✅ Prior travel assignment completed ✅ EPIC proficient ✅ Strong multitasking and prioritization skills ✅ Comfortable in a high-admission, fast-paced surgical environment
