Staff Accountant II

Location Requirement: This position operates on a hybrid schedule (3 days in-office, 2 days remote). Candidates must be within 45 minutes of an office and able to regularly commute to work as required. This is NOT a fully remote opportunity.The Staff Accountant II ensures the integrity of accounting information by engaging in general ledger closing activities. Including timely and accurate preparation of complex account reconciliations, account analysis, adjustment calculation and preparation of journal entries.Let us tell you about the perks!Be part of a company whose core values include respect, integrity, spirit of service, and accountability!Salary: $65,000-$75,000/yearAnnual merit increasesMedical, dental, and vision insurance, and 401k with a company matchPaid time off, paid holidays, and tuition reimbursement.Significant discounts on broadband packages for employees residing in our service areas.What you’ll be doing:Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to those listed below:Preparation, review and posting of accurate and timely general ledger account reconciliationsMaintain overall accuracy and integrity of the general ledger records and reconciliationsParticipate in activities related to the month-end closing process, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliation, variance explanations and financial reportingPrepare schedules for internal/external auditors in connection with reviews/audits.Ensure compliance with accounting policies,Analyze, prepare and maintain schedules for accounting accrualsFormulate financial analysis and reportsEstablish and maintain effective relationships by working cross functionally with other disciplines throughout the company providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers.Work cross-functionally with other departments to increase financial reposting accuracy.Responsible for other ad hoc reports and projects as assignedWhat YOU need is:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty consistently and accurately.
