Principal Software Engineer - Kinexys Payments

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with at least 7 years of applied experience
• Extensive experience building distributed systems and/or blockchain infrastructure, including public-chain integrations, node/provider architecture, indexing, RPC reliability, and Layer 2 or bridging patterns
• Strong system design, performance, and resilience engineering skills, with the ability to work in regulated environments
• Demonstrated technical leadership and a record of delivering complex platforms at scale
• Experience designing and leading the adoption of agentic AI-enabled development practices using enterprise-authorized tools, including standards for human-in-the-loop validation, change auditability and traceability, and secure handling of sensitive data
• Understanding of responsible AI use and controls in engineering workflows, including security and resilience implications, data sensitivity, and risk-based governance; able to influence senior technical leaders on safe scaling and reuse
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders and executives

• Own end-to-end architecture for public-chain connectivity, interoperability, and on-chain/off-chain workflows within Payments & Global Banking Technology
• Lead design reviews, establish engineering standards, and mentor senior engineers across multiple squads
• Embed security by design through key management, smart contract assurance, threat modeling, monitoring, and incident response
• Evaluate protocols and partners, contribute to relevant open standards, and shape the public-chain roadmap
• Architect and govern agentic AI-enabled engineering workflows using enterprise-authorized tools to improve delivery speed, code quality, and operational outcomes at scale, including support for pull request reviews, test generation and maintenance, release readiness, incident triage, and root-cause analysis
• Define safeguards for validation, security, resilience, and reuse across teams
• Apply software development lifecycle tools, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value of automation at scale
• Influence business leaders and senior stakeholders, and advise cross-functional teams on technology within the area of expertise
