Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: AM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 18 months of Med/Surg experience License: Current GA or compact license required Certifications: NIHSS certification required; BLS certification required Must-Have: - IV Insertion - PICC Line placement - Telemetry interpretation skills Description: The ideal candidate will possess 18 months of Med/Surg experience. A valid GA or compact nursing license is required. NIHSS and BLS certifications are mandatory. Responsibilities may include IV insertion, PICC line placement, and telemetry interpretation. Special procedures performed on the unit include lumbar punctures, thoracentesis, NGT/feeding tube insertion, and NFT insertion. Top diagnoses and procedures include congestive heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, diabetes mellitus, sepsis, pneumonia, gastrointestinal bleeding, altered mental status, hypertension, renal failure, and heart failure.
