What You’ll Do As our paralegal, you’ll play a pivotal role in every phase of the dispute process, from pre-litigation to courtroom proceedings. Here’s what your day-to-day will look like: Collaborate directly with senior paralegals and attorneys to move cases forward. Assist in preparing and filing motions, pleadings, and other legal documents. Manage and organize files, ensuring deadlines are tracked and met. Draft and proofread correspondence, memos, and discovery documents. Conduct legal research and summarize findings to support case strategies. Act as a point of contact for vendors and assist with case-related communication. Audit case files and update case lists for team meetings. Provide hands-on support for discovery, calendaring, and court filings. In this role, you’ll need to be adaptable, detail-oriented, and excited to tackle challenges head-on while wearing many hats. What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone with: 2-4 years of experience as a paralegal or similar role in the legal field. A paralegal certificate, degree, or equivalent qualifying education/experience (e.g., an ABA-approved paralegal program, or certification through NALA, NFPA, or the South Carolina Bar Paralegal Division). A knack for problem-solving and an ability to thrive under pressure. Exceptional writing and communication skills with an eye for detail. Proficiency in technology, with experience in tools like Microsoft 365, Adobe, Clio Manage, and more. A desire to grow, learn, and contribute to the firm’s success.
