This role sits at the center of civilian personnel hiring and onboarding operations supporting a DoD mission at JBPHH. You'll be the go-to expert for hiring managers, the engine behind recruitment workflows, and the first face new employees see. As an HR Assistant embedded at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, you'll drive civilian personnel recruitment, onboarding, and HR operations from end to end. This isn't a back-office role. You'll be a subject matter expert and a critical link between hiring managers, HR leadership, and incoming talent. Every action you take moves the mission forward. Pay: $71,000.00 - $84,000.00 per year Benefits 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Vision insurance Requirements WHAT YOU BRING Active SECRET clearance Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications — Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook Familiarity with PDF document management tools such as Adobe Acrobat Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to brief individuals and groups Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Close attention to detail and strong follow-through on assigned tasks High degree of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive personnel information Preferred Qualifications Prior experience supporting HR functions in government, defense, higher education, or large enterprise environments Professional HR certification such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent Familiarity with HR information systems (HRIS) or applicant tracking systems (ATS) Problem-solving mindset with flexibility to adapt to evolving requirements Commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth About The Company WHY K2 K2 is an SBA 8(a) certified Native Hawaiian Organization - we don't just support the mission, we're built around it.
