Supporting new patients through the admissions process, the part-time Patient Intake Specialist will gather required information, verify insurance coverage, and coordinate care steps in a fully remote environment. Key responsibilities Collect and enter accurate demographic and clinical information for new patient admissions Verify insurance coverage, review benefits, and submit authorizations as needed Communicate with patients and internal teams to ensure timely completion of intake requirements Required qualifications 2+ years of experience in healthcare intake, medical office administration, or insurance support Experience with insurance verification or authorizations preferred High school diploma or GED required Detail-oriented and highly organized Familiarity with healthcare documentation and insurance workflows
