Follow us: @NovaSkyStories About the job About this role: Nova Sky Stories is seeking a VP, Brand Marketing - Live Events to build and lead the brand strategy for our growing portfolio of touring entertainment experiences. This is a rare opportunity to create a global entertainment brand from the ground up. We are not looking for someone to inherit a mature marketing organization—we are looking for a builder who is excited to create one. The ideal candidate has helped transform a live entertainment property, touring production, cultural experience, sports franchise, or experiential brand into something audiences actively follow and love. They understand how great entertainment brands become movements and how fandom is intentionally created through storytelling, community, experiences, partnerships, and consistent execution. This role requires both strategic vision and a willingness to get deeply involved in the work. In the early stages, you will personally help develop messaging, shape creative campaigns, build brand systems, guide content strategy, support major launches, manage external partners, and establish the foundation for Nova’s future marketing organization. As a VP, Brand Marketing, you’ll be responsible for: Build the Brands Own the strategy, positioning, identity, and audience experience for Nova's portfolio of touring entertainment properties. Create the narratives, brand systems, and foundational assets that transform productions into beloved entertainment brands. Establish scalable frameworks that support future launches and global expansion. Grow Fandom & Audience Engagement Develop strategies that turn attendees into passionate fans and repeat customers. Create year‑round audience engagement through content, community, partnerships, and experiences. Identify opportunities to expand awareness and cultural relevance through major events, sponsorships, and strategic partnerships. Lead Marketing Execution Personally drive key brand initiatives while managing agencies, contractors, and external partners. Own the development of websites, campaigns, content strategies, launch plans, and audience-facing materials. Partner closely with creative, production, sponsorship, business development, and executive teams to bring brands to life. Build the Function Establish Nova’s long‑term marketing vision, processes, and operating model. Recruit and develop future marketing talent as the organization grows. Serve as the company’s senior leader for brand strategy, audience growth, and marketing effectiveness. You’ll need to have: 10+ years of experience in brand marketing, entertainment marketing, audience development, or related leadership roles. Experience building or scaling consumer-facing entertainment, experiential, sports, media, cultural, or lifestyle brands. Proven success developing brands that attract passionate audiences and loyal fan communities. Experience leading brand strategy from concept through execution. Strong understanding of audience psychology, storytelling, community building, and cultural relevance. Experience partnering with creative, content, production, and commercial teams. Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-growing environment. Exceptional communication, leadership, and cross‑functional collaboration skills. What will make you successful: A builder mentality and willingness to operate both strategically and tactically. Comfort creating structure where little exists today. Experience launching new brands, products, experiences, or entertainment properties from the ground up. The ability to move seamlessly between executive‑level strategy discussions and hands‑on execution. A bias toward action and ownership in fast‑moving, high‑growth environments.
