WelderA welder is responsible for performing welding processes for the fabrication and assembly of metal carts, cabinets, or stainless tables and carts. The role requires physical endurance, with the ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, twist, stoop, pull, push, assemble, and carry for extended periods of time, up to 10 hours per day. The role also involves lifting and moving up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally lifting or moving up to 100 pounds with assistance from another team member.ResponsibilitiesDetermine the appropriate welding process, equipment, or method based on product requirements.Set up components for welding according to job specifications.Follow all safe manufacturing, material handling, and PPE procedures.Follow written and verbal directions to complete assignments or jobs.Perform all duties in conjunction with company procedures.Conduct quality checks of all finished processes and work.Keep the work area clean and clutter-free.Perform other duties that may be assigned.Essential SkillsProficient in MIG and TIG welding techniques.Experience in fabrication and production environments.Possession of a Welding certificate or 1-3 years of on-the-job MIG welding experience.Ability to combine schooling and on-the-job experience.Proficient with hand and power tools.Proficient in using a tape measure.Ability to read blueprints.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience working with second shift schedules.Capability to work in a manufacturing environment that can get hot in summer.Why Work Here?This company values long-term employment and prioritizes promoting from within.
