About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Corporate Attorney to lead its legal department's general corporate team, with a focus on the legal M&A function. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all legal aspects of the company's M&A process, from pre-acquisition to integration, and will provide essential legal support for the company's general corporate matters. This role involves advising the strategic development team on legal risks, drafting and negotiating a variety of agreements, and working closely with internal clients to ensure the legal aspects of transactions are in line with the company's goals. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctorate from a nationally recognized law school, 5-10 years' of experience in mergers and acquisitions, and a proven ability to manage a large volume of legal matters. Applicants for this position at the company should have a strong background in corporate law, with a primary focus on mergers and acquisitions. The role requires the capacity to work independently, take initiative, and think cross-functionally with various internal teams. Attention to detail, a commitment to risk mitigation, and excellent communication skills are essential. The candidate should be open to periodic travel and be admitted to practice in New York or Massachusetts. While not mandatory, previous in-house experience is preferred. The company values a candidate who is proactive, keeps current with market trends, and is capable of improving legal processes and agreements.
