Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced surgical professional for a position requiring expertise in spine and total joint procedures. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in various surgical specialties, with a strong emphasis on orthopedic and spine surgeries.

Shift Details

• Day shifts available: 3x12-hour rotations from 06:30 - 19:00 and 10:30 - 23:00
• On-call requirements: 2300-0700 and 0700-0700
• Weekend on-call: 0700 to 1900 and 0700 to 0700
• Weekday and weekend call: Approximately 3 weekdays and 2-3 weekend days within a 6-week pay period

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in a variety of surgical procedures, including but not limited to:
  
  
  • General Surgery
  • Orthopedic Surgery
  • Spine Surgery
  • Total Joint Replacement
  • Urology
  • Endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures
  • Gynecological surgeries, including robotic-assisted procedures
• Scrubbing experience is required, with a focus on inpatient procedures
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure high-quality patient care and safety

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of surgical experience required
• Experience with spine and total joint cases is mandatory
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required; either NBSTSA or NCCT is accepted
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to respond to on-call duties within 30 minutes
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are welcome to apply

• Orientation and training consist of 40 hours
• Modules are non-billable; completion is factored into initial work hours

Schedule Requirements

The successful candidate must be available to work weekends and holidays, with a commitment to fulfill the required call schedule. Flexibility around scheduling requests may be required.
