Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Management, or related field (Master's preferred or equivalent experience)\n• 7+ years of experience in federal contracting\n• 4+ years of experience in Capture Management (NOT Business Development)\n• Proven track record of leading and winning federal captures valued at $25M+\n• Strong knowledge of federal acquisition processes, RFPs, solicitations, and competitive procurements\n• Experience supporting DoD customers including Army, Navy, USAF, USMC, DAF, or related mission areas\n• Experience developing capture strategies, win themes, and competitive positioning\n• Experience conducting price-to-win analysis, competitive assessments, and solution shaping\n• Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience within Digital Engineering, Systems Engineering, MBSE, Analytics, or Advanced Technology environments\n• Existing network and relationships across DoD agencies and defense contractors\n• Shipley or equivalent Capture Management certification/training\n• Active Security Clearance or ability to obtain one\n• Experience supporting large-scale defense modernization or digital transformation initiatives

An employer is seeking a Capture Manager for a fully remote direct hire opportunity supporting growth across the Defense market. This will consist of collecting customer and competitive intelligence, assessing positioning, developing the Capture plan, building/finalizing the team, identifying discriminators, working with solution/functional leads, developing win strategy, conducting Black Hats/competitive assessments, managing pursuit actions and decisions, and keeping the team organized around a defined Capture framework.\n \n \nWhat You'll Do\n• Lead capture efforts for high-priority opportunities from qualification through contract award.\n• Develop and execute capture plans that align with company growth objectives and revenue targets.\n• Build and maintain relationships with government customers, industry partners, and key stakeholders.\n• Conduct competitive intelligence, price-to-win analysis, risk assessments, and differentiation strategies.\n• Coordinate with Business Development, Operations, Solutions Architects, Pricing, and Proposal teams throughout the capture lifecycle.\n• Manage gate reviews, executive briefings, and readiness assessments to ensure pursuit success.\n• Lead teaming strategies and negotiations with subcontractors, vendors, and strategic partners.\n• Develop customer call plans and shape customer requirements to position the company for success.\n• Support proposal development by ensuring technical, management, and pricing volumes align with capture strategy.\n• Track and forecast opportunity progress, resource requirements, milestones, and expected outcomes.\n• Serve as a strategic leader helping drive growth within the defense and digital engineering portfolio.
