Operations Manager (Commercial Landscaping)

Job Summary Operations Manager overseeing day-to-day branch operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance, driving continuous improvement and customer service excellence. Duties And Responsibilities Process improvement and efficiency: analyze operational processes, identify inefficiencies, implement changes to enhance productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Team leadership and development: supervise, train, develop staff, conduct performance evaluations, and address team issues promptly. Forecasting and labor management: execute labor planning, monitor expenses, allocate resources, and ensure branch meets labor targets. Procurement and inventory management: source products, manage inventory levels, facilitate equipment tracking and preventive maintenance, and ensure timely vendor deliveries. Safety, compliance, and risk management: comply with industry regulations, enforce safety standards, mitigate risks, execute compliance processes, conduct audits, and maintain documentation. Reporting and performance metrics: track and report KPIs, report operational challenges to Branch Manager, use BrightPath, Power BI, Leadr, Field Management Systems, and Estimating (CPQ) to inform decisions. Customer service, satisfaction, and jobsite quality: ensure high standards of customer satisfaction and jobsite quality, address operational issues, implement improvements. Project management: lead and coordinate operational projects to deliver on time, within scope, aligned with growth goals. Resource planning: oversee staffing, equipment, and technology allocation, anticipate operational needs, plan for future resources. Collaboration and communication: partner with internal departments and external vendors/clients to support smooth operations. Education And Experience Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in landscape or business-related field, or equivalent experience in a service-based industry. Minimum 7 years of experience in the construction or landscaping industry. Minimum 2-3 years of management experience in the landscape or service industry. Qualified Applicator License (Pesticide or Fertilizer) preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and company systems such as FSM, BrightPath, MFP/WAR calls. Experience with mobile applications for email, data retrieval, photo sharing. Proven ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. Effective written and oral communication skills. Ability to create and foster a team-oriented environment. Physical Demands/Requirements Walk, bend, twist, and carry up to 50 lbs. Traverse uneven surfaces on job sites for quality checks and inspections. Travel within branch territory to visit client properties. Maintain required medications for allergic reactions. Work Environment Field-based role with regular office work. Compensation Pay Range $65,000 to $75,000.
