Job Summary The Conference Solutions Assistant is responsible for room/space set ups and breakdowns and to assist with the overall operation and AV technical team in the Pfizer La Jolla sites including operation, troubleshooting, room maintenance, and security of all audiovisual equipment and facilities in the managed/event space and acts as a liaison between the Pfizer client and the Pfizer Conference Solutions Department in regards of conference rooms and event spaces throughout the Pfizer campus in regards to all CSA/AV needs for a successful meeting/event. Key Responsibilities: Ensure the proper set up of tables and chairs, as well as audiovisual equipment in meeting rooms and special event spaces according to client needs. This may require lifting an average of 20 - 30 pounds to a height of 36 - 60 inches with occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds to a height of 6 feet. Set up includes room set ups and resets for meetings/events. Adjusting space available for projectors, large projection screens, confidence displays, PA systems and meeting/event accessories/materials. Taping cords/safe cords to floor and along walls requiring bending and kneeling. Carrying of equipment up to 75 pounds to and from meeting/event rooms. Transporting heavy and large podiums. Ability to stay organized through Outlook, email, last minute requests. Manage all high touch cleanings intra meetings in certain spaces. Preferred Qualifications: A college degree is preferred. Superior quantitative, oral and written communications and problem-solving/strategizing skills. Proactive mindset to anticipate and support changes in our business. Conformity to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behavior. Exceptional customer service abilities. Individual must have two years experience with a multimedia audiovisual center. Individual is to have the ability to communicate effectively with meeting planners, trainers, and corporate executives. Requires the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.
