Compliance Analyst

I-9 Compliance Analyst | Publix Super Markets, Inc.

The purpose of this position is to process and oversee the timely completion of identity verification and employment authorization of individuals hired for employment by Publix while maintaining compliance with the policies and practices of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigrations Services (USCIS), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE), under the direction of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Primary Responsibilities:

• This position is responsible for maintaining compliance of all Employment Eligibility Verification forms (Form I-9) for all newly hired and rehired associates within Publix.
• This position is responsible for working with retail and support areas to conduct an E-Verify check using the information provided on Form I-9 as well as visual verification of the documents to validate both the identity of the associate and their employment authorization to work within the U.S.
• This position is responsible for maintaining (updating and editing) the correct citizenship status and work authorization dates in SAP.

Required Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent 6 months experience working in Human Resources or equivalent experience in an analytical related field Independence Initiative Time Management Applied Learning Detail Orientation Building Relationships Customer Focus Verbal communication and written communication skills Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access

Additional Required Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Human Resources or related field
• 2 years Publix experience working in Associate Data Services, Human Resources
• Knowledge of MRL (Manager Reference Library)
• Knowledge of Publix Effective Business writing
• Knowledge of various systems used within Publix such as SAP, MSS, ViewStar, Host, AMS, and other databases
• Knowledge of Form I-9 and E-Verify process and federal regulations
• Knowledge of systems to include: SAP, ViewStar, E-Verify

Hours of Work:

8:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday
