HVPT ICON Parking is a leading parking operator managing more than 400 locations across the United States, including surface lots, parking garages, and valet operations serving commercial, hospital and consumer clients. As we continue to scale, we are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead accounting operations across our high-volume, multi-site portfolio and help build the financial infrastructure to support our next stage of growth. The Financial Controller will own the day-to-day accounting operations, GAAP financial reporting, and internal controls for a high-volume, multi-location business operating 400+ sites nationwide. This role requires a hands-on leader who has successfully managed accounting functions in a complex, multi-unit environment with high transaction volume, decentralized revenue streams (cash, credit, mobile payments), and multi-state regulatory exposure. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience and is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization. Key Responsibilities Oversee full-cycle accounting operations — general ledger, AP/AR, payroll coordination, and client reporting — across 400+ locations nationwide. Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely consolidated financial statements across all locations and regions. Reduce close cycle time to under 7 calendar days and maintain hard close processes and procedures to maintain the appropriate close schedules, aligning roles to those expectations. Design, implement, and maintain a strong internal control environment appropriate for a high-volume, multi-site, cash-intensive business. Manage daily revenue reconciliation across diverse payment channels (cash, credit card, mobile/app-based payments, validations) for hundreds of locations. Partner with FP&A and operations leadership to build location-level financial reporting (income statement and balance sheet); analyze variances and identify trends across the portfolio. Ensure compliance with GAAP, and coordinate multi-state tax filings (sales/use tax, business licenses, property tax) across all operating jurisdictions. Own the external audit process, serving as primary point of contact for auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners. Build, mentor, and manage a growing accounting team, including staff and senior accountants supporting regional and location-level accounting. Evaluate and improve accounting systems, reconciliation tools, and processes to support scalability as the location count grows. Support due diligence, financial integration, and reporting setup for company acquisitions, new location acquisitions, openings, and contract wins. Present financial results and key metrics to executive leadership and, as needed, board stakeholders. Initiate and approve wires, ACH payments, and intercompany transfers based on existing authority and separation of duties across the organization Partner with the Treasury Analyst to monitor and resolve bank-related issues, discrepancies, and fees Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred. 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including significant experience in a multi-unit, multi-location, or high-volume operating environment (400+ locations or similar scale strongly preferred). Experience in parking, hospitality, restaurant, retail, or other high-transaction-volume, multi-site industries highly preferred. Proven track record managing accounting and controls for a decentralized business with cash and card revenue reconciliation. Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, multi-state tax compliance, and internal control frameworks. Experience with ERP and financial consolidation systems; advanced Excel skills required. Demonstrated leadership experience building and managing accounting teams. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights for operations and executive leadership. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, multi-site operating environment.
