Commercial Operations Specialist

Commercial and Sales OperationsOwn and maintain customer pricing books and commercial documentation across assigned accountsLead promotional setup and execution across customer systems and internal platformsOwn the integrity of customer portals, item submissions, forms, and required documentation by identifying discrepancies and resolving issues proactivelyMonitor customer‑specific requirements, submission timelines, and driving timely resolution of follow‑up itemsServe as a primary point of coordination for retailer and broker communication related to operational and commercial execution needsOwn setup coordination and documentation for private label and co‑manufacturing opportunitiesDevelop and maintain promotional calendars, trackers, and supporting sales documentationIdentify opportunities to improve and scale commercial processes as the organization growsProject Management and OrganizationManage timelines and cross‑functional follow‑up for customer initiatives, launches, and commercial projectsDrive accountability for open items and ensure timely completion across sales, marketing, supply chain, finance, quality, and operationsEstablish and maintain highly organized records and documentation to improve visibility and eliminate last‑minute execution challengesContribute to a more proactive, well‑prepared commercial organization through strong ownership, communication, and follow‑throughAnalytics and ReportingCollect, organize, and analyze customer, promotional, and syndicated data to support sales effortsIdentify trends, insights, and selling opportunities through data analysisBuild, maintain, and enhance Excel‑based reports, trackers, and comparative sales analyses that improve visibility into performance and executionSupport customer‑facing selling stories and business reviews with clear, actionable insightsPresentation and Commercial SupportOwn the development and organization of sales presentations and customer decks ensuring content is accurate and relevantCreate presentation frameworks, data sections, charts, and supporting materials that enable effective selling conversationsPartner with sales and marketing leadership to ensure materials are accurate, aligned, and customer readySupport internal sales meetings, planning sessions, and key commercial initiatives through strong preparation, analysis and coordinationRequired QualificationsBachelor’s Degree preferredThree or more years of experience in CPG sales support, sales operations, commercial operations, category support, or a related fieldStrong analytical, organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detailAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to build reports, analyze data, and present findings clearlyAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environmentStrong communication, follow‑up, and execution skillsSelf‑starter mindset with a demonstrated ability to identify issues and drive solutions independentlyExperience working with retailer portals, customer systems, and commercial documentationAbility to work effectively across functions and with external partnersPreferred QualificationsExperience in food, beverage, frozen, or consumer packaged goodsExperience supporting private label or co‑manufacturing businessFamiliarity with syndicated data platforms such as Circana, Nielsen, or SPINSExperience with promotional management, trade planning, or TPM systemsBroker management or retailer support experienceExperience building customer presentations and business review materialsWho We AreThe Armstrong Group is a family owned and operated collection of diverse companies.
